St. Isaac's Cathedral is the largest Orthodox church in Russia and the fourth largest cathedral in the world. The height of the cathedral is 101.5 m. The Church of the Savior on the Blood was erected on the site of the murder of Emperor Alexander II and is distinguished by the bright beauty of its mosaic. Kazan Cathedral is a monument of Russian military glory. In 1813 the commander M.I. Kutuzov was buried here and the keys of the taken cities and other military trophies were also placed in the cathedral.
